Day 1 – Friday afternoon
From the chaos of the city to the beaches of the South

After picking up your vehicle at the Blurent center in Cagliari, you leave the city following the coastal road west. After just a few kilometers, the landscape changes: the road opens out to the sea, amidst panoramic curves and Mediterranean scrub scented with myrtle.

The first real stop is Chia. Arriving in the late afternoon, the light is perfect: golden dunes, clear water, and very little rush around. Here, you can enjoy your first aperitif overlooking the sea or simply walk along the beach to really get into the rhythm of the journey.

A little further on, you’ll find Tuerredda Beach, one of the most spectacular bays in southern Sardinia. Even though it’s almost evening, it’s worth stopping for a few minutes: the color of the water at sunset is incredible.

For the first night, it’s best to stay in the Teulada area or near Chia, where there are quiet campervan areas close to the sea. The ideal evening is simple: dinner at a trattoria, seafood fregola or fresh fish, then relaxing in front of the campervan with the sound of the wind and the sea.

Day 2 – Saturday
White dunes and the islands of Sulcis

The next morning, you can take it easy. Enjoy breakfast outdoors, perhaps with a sea view, and then head back towards Sulcis, one of the most authentic areas of the island.

The first important stop is Porto Pino. Here, the landscape changes again: pine forests, pale sand, and above all, the famous white dunes. It’s a perfect beach for spending a few hours doing nothing: swimming, a light lunch in the camper, and maybe a bit of snorkeling if the sea is calm.

In the afternoon, you can continue to Sant’Antioco, connected to Sardinia by an artificial isthmus. The atmosphere here is very different from the touristy coast: slower, more maritime, and authentic. Strolling along the seafront at sunset is one of the highlights of the trip.

If you fancy a short detour, you can also venture to Calasetta, a small white village with Ligurian and Tunisian influences, very charming in the evening.

Sant’Antioco is perfect for sleeping, offering comfortable campervan parking and restaurants within walking distance. It’s the classic evening of fresh fish and local white wine, without having to drive.

Day 3 – Sunday
The mining coast and the most spectacular views

Sunday is the most scenic day of the entire itinerary. Leaving Sant’Antioco, you slowly enter Sardinia’s mining region: a wild, almost dramatic coastline, where old mines meet the sea.

Arriving in Masua, the view opens onto the famous Pan di Zucchero sea stack, enormous and isolated facing the sea. It’s one of those views that seems larger than life. It’s worth stopping for a while, taking photos, and perhaps sipping a coffee while gazing out at the sea.

Continuing toward Nebida, the road becomes even more scenic. There’s no need to rush here: the beauty is stopping at the lookout points and enjoying the scenery.

In the afternoon, you have two options:

If you want a wilder experience, you can reach Piscinas Beach, famous for its immense dunes that almost resemble a desert. The last stretch of the road is slower but can be done in a campervan at a leisurely pace. Sleeping here, with total silence and a sky full of stars, is something you’ll never forget.

If you prefer a more leisurely evening before returning, you can stop in Iglesias: a pleasant historic center, an excellent dinner, and a peaceful night in a fully equipped campervan area.

Your journey starts here!
